What Happens Next?

Lots of questions have come to us so we thought we would answer a few now!

When do we get Emma?

We wish it was today! From our Letter of Acceptance (2.24.17) they estimate 9-12 weeks until we travel to China.  We will be in China for about two weeks.  We so appreciate all the continued prayers as we are deep in paperwork again and want all of the process to go smoothly without any delays.

What happens when we come home?

When we get home we will have a flurry of doctor visits.  We anticipate a minimum of two surgeries for our beautiful girl.  She has cleft palate which is currently uncorrected.  She also has a heart condition for which she has already had one surgery and will require at least one more.  She is very tiny right now and we ask that you pray for God to continue to keep her in your prayers for her health.  We are so thankful she is at Maria's Big House of Hope, as we know she has great care there.  Pray that she will be able to remain there.

Are you going to fundraise anymore?

Yes!!

We have TWO final fundraisers that we would love to have your support on.  These fundraisers will go toward our final adoption costs as well as prepare for the surgeries that are ahead of us.

1) A friend of ours, Emily Carlson, does beautiful hand lettering.  She did some verses that have been very meaningful to us as we have prayed for and over Emma while we waited.  She donated her time and talent to help bring Emma home.

Each print is an original and we are asking $20 donations.  If you purchase a print (see below how many of the same design/verse there are) you also will automatically get a puzzle piece.  What does a puzzle piece have to do with anything?  Read below.

2) We have a 500 piece puzzle that we want to build with the names of those who are helping join in bringing Emma home.  Each pieces is $10 donation. We will write your name (or whoever's name you want on it).  When it is finished we will frame in in a double glass frame and hang it in her room so that she can see all the names who helped bring her home.

You can use puzzle pieces in many ways.

Here are some examples (I am using our names just as an example, obviously we would use whatever you wanted!):

1 puzzle piece: White family
4 puzzle pieces: Matthew, Beth-Anne, Edmund, Emma (each name on a separate piece)
6 puzzle pieces: W H I T E family (one puzzle piece for each letter and then one for the world family.

Feel free to be as creative as you want!  You can donate through PayPal (link on the side of the blog, please choose not to use a credit card as it charges us) or you can mail a check to us.  Email us at: growingourfamilybyfaith at gmail . com for our mailing address.

We have 500 pieces.

The first has already been claimed by my Granddaddy--Emma's Great-Granddaddy.

Who will join him?
